October summer moods

The October light just reaches the leaves of the worlds oldest plant, the fern

 No words

It ooks like a mess - but there is a hidden

 Face !

 A little sad

The yellow flowers never give up

At a closer look you will find

The red squirrel !

It's sleeping until next summer

Antique glass vase, recently bought in London - flowers from my garden, recently picked - and souvenirs from a Sussex beach, recently visited with a good friend.

It's summer - it's October - it's oh so beautiful paintings

Willard Metcalf (1858-1925) American painter: October 1908
